Last stop: Greece

Difficult to get out from Makedonia by plane or by sea. Only by train or bus. So I went down to Thessaloniki and then to Athens. But a bad surprise was waiting for me there. Bank debit card did not worked anymore and I ran out all my cash so, not enough to buy a ticket back home, what to do? I took a short walk around the city - beautiful and strong forever - Acropolis, Plaka...and then I decided it.....

Vigorsky's Monastery

Hanging above the cliffs of Mobro Mountanis, stands Vigorsky Monastery. Very old and still working. Its frescos are insuperables and it's wooden retablo contains more than 20.000 small figures carved with love. A masterpiece in a wild enviroment.
An having one of the most pure water I have tried in my life. Directly from a mountain spring of an ancient glacial era.

Guthember's galaxy

There are only three printing machine left still working of Guthemberg's time. And one of them is in Ohrid. This printing machine was sent from Germany to Ancient Makedonia by 1500 to print ortodoxian Bibles. And is still there. I dressep up like him and bought a couple of pictures made from oak bark as they were printed by that time. Amazing

Gipsy city

No land people. Unique. Nomadics, free, with their own culture dating more than 2000 years. Gipsies (from the word>> egyptians>>giptians >>gipsies) came to europe and settled down. In Skopje lives the biggest comunity in Eurpe and probably in the world. It is Sutka, a 100.000 gipsies suburbs, a entire small city, with market, bars, shops, houses. Nice people.. Very integrated in the makedonian society. I took a wak in throughout.

Mother Teresa de Calcuta

Born in Skopje 1910 and died not long ago, the municipality want to honour her, building a house/temple for pilgrims. Made an international contest and my friend Vangel won tre Prizr. So he built a Gaudi-Dali-personal building which transmit the streght, faith, devotion and carisma which she used to help poor people. An example for the world.

Mmmmm Makedonian food. Delicious, but I did not take note of names and I do not remember any. Kind of goulash, different kind of salads, bakery, cheese, aperitifs and an excellent white wine called Alexandria.

Artistic banknotes

No presidents, no kings, no great men, no dictators. In Makedonian banknotes there is only art in it. Beautiful money.
